1. WHO WE ARE

Best3D (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides custom 3-D-printing services in Latvia.

2. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health, biometrics, religion, etc.).

3. WHY WE PROCESS YOUR DATA

Provide the service – quote, print, finish and ship your part.
Communicate – confirm orders, answer questions, send status updates.
Protect the service – fraud prevention, security logs.
Measure advertising – see if Google Ads campaigns reach interested users.

Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR): contract, legitimate interest, consent (for ads cookies), and legal obligation (tax & accounting).

Apart from the providers listed above (including invoicing/payment providers when used), we do not share data with analytics providers, email-marketing platforms, or social networks.

5. COOKIES & TRACKING

We use necessary storage/cookies for core site functions (for example, session handling and saving cookie preferences). Optional categories (functional, analytics, advertising) are controlled via the consent banner.

We do not set non-essential categories (functional, analytics, advertising) until you provide consent. If advertising is enabled and you consent, Google Ads/remarketing cookies may be set.

Cookie preferences are managed through the consent banner (necessary, functional, analytics, advertising). Non-essential categories stay off until you give consent and can be changed later.

We remember your consent choice for approximately 6 months and you can reopen cookie settings later from the site interface.

5A. First-party usage analytics
To improve reliability and understand site usage, we record first-party activity events on our own server, including button clicks, selected/uploaded file metadata (file name/type/size), per-minute active time on page, and section-view time. These records are linked to technical identifiers (session ID, visitor ID, IP, browser data) and are used for service analytics, fraud/security monitoring, and conversion reporting in the admin panel.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); where required, consent controls remain applicable for non-essential cookie categories.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some data needed for Google Ads are processed in the United States. Transfer is covered by SCCs approved by the European Commission. All other processing stays in Latvia.

7. DATA RETENTION

Order files – deleted within 90 days after the order is completed or immediately on request.
Business records (invoices, shipment proofs) – kept 10 years to comply with Latvian tax law.
Security logs – kept 30 days then erased or anonymised.
Usage analytics events – kept up to 12 months, then deleted or aggregated.

If you request deletion, we erase or anonymise data unless a legal retention duty applies (for example, accounting records).

10. DO-NOT-TRACK

Browsers’ Do-Not-Track signals are not yet standardised; we currently do not respond to them.

11. UPDATES

We may update this notice; the “Last updated” date will change. Significant changes will be announced on the website.
